ParQ Wish is built privacy-first. The trip data you create — wishes, packing lists, photos, itinerary notes, GPS trails — lives entirely on your device by default. We do not operate a user database, and we do not sell or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers. If you explicitly enable the optional, end-to-end encrypted Cloud Sync feature, a copy of that data (excluding photos) is stored encrypted in Firebase so it can sync across your devices and with trip collaborators you invite — see "Optional Cloud Sync" below.

We do not collect, store, or have access to:
iOS app (ParQ Wish Pal): By default, all trip data is stored locally in AsyncStorage on your iPhone. No data is sent to our servers unless you explicitly enable Cloud Sync (see below).
Web app (ParQ Wish Planner at parqwish.com): By default, all trip data is stored in your browser's IndexedDB. Clearing your browser data will delete it. No data is transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly enable Cloud Sync (see below).
You can also sync between your own devices via files you explicitly export and share yourself (AirDrop, email, Files app, etc.). We never receive those files.
Both apps offer an optional Cloud Sync feature, disabled by default. When you choose to enable it and sign in with Apple, your wish catalog and trip data are encrypted on your device and stored in Google Firebase (Google Cloud Infrastructure) to enable automatic synchronisation across your devices.
Google Firebase is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Because your data is encrypted before it leaves your device, Google cannot access its content.
Public park information — ride lists, wait times, showtimes, dining info — is fetched from Firebase-hosted JSON files and third-party public APIs (including ThemeParks.wiki). These requests are standard anonymous HTTP requests. We do not associate them with a user identity, and the data returned is the same for everyone.
The iOS app offers an optional Pro subscription. Subscriptions are processed exclusively through Apple's App Store. We use RevenueCat to verify subscription status locally on your device. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase receipt — they do not receive your name or Apple ID. We receive only a boolean entitlement flag (active/lapsed). We never see your payment details.
Apple's Privacy Policy governs all App Store transactions.
We may collect anonymous, aggregate analytics — such as how many times the app is downloaded and anonymous crash reports — to understand how the app is performing and fix bugs. This data cannot be used to identify you individually. We do not use behavioural analytics, session recording, or advertising measurement tools.
The GPS trail feature (Pro) records your location only while you explicitly enable tracking within the app. Location data is saved on-device only and is never transmitted to our servers unless you separately enable the optional Cloud Sync feature. If you do enable Cloud Sync, your trail recordings are encrypted on your device before upload, using the same end-to-end encryption described in "Optional Cloud Sync" — we and Google cannot read their content. You can delete trail data (including any synced copy) at any time from within the app. If you do not use the GPS trail feature, no location data is ever accessed.
If you attach photos to trip items, those photos are stored locally on your device or in your browser's local storage. They are never uploaded to our servers. When you export a sync file to share with another device, photos in that file travel with it — but that transfer is entirely under your control.
ParQ Wish is not directed at children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us at hello@parqwish.com and we will take appropriate steps.

None of these integrations give third parties access to your personal trip data.
By default we hold no user data on our servers. If you have enabled Cloud Sync, your encrypted data is stored in Firebase until you delete it.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it periodically. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
