Planning Weeks Ahead

Your trip is coming up. Use the web planner on desktop to organise everything before you arrive.

Who this is for: Best for: anyone who wants to research, prioritise, and schedule their visit in the weeks or days before the trip โ€” especially useful for first-timers.

Before You Start

  • ParQwish Planner (PWA) open on your desktop or tablet
  • Your trip dates and any confirmed dining reservations

Steps (9)

1
PWA โ€บ Home ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Web Planner

Create your trip and set its start and end dates.

PWA Home โ€” Create Trip
PWA Home โ€” Create Trip

Click + New Trip on the home screen. Quick Trip starts one right away, dated today (from your default template, if you've starred one), and keeps you on Home; set its real dates with the โœ๏ธ next to it. From Template lets you pick a saved template and opens the Edit Trip page with the dates ready to set, and Full Detail opens the Edit Trip page for a new trip, which is saved when you click Create Trip. A template carries over your packing list, your wishes, your hotel, and your notes.

2
PWA โ€บ Edit Trip ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Web Planner

Add travel details: flights, hotel, and transportation.

PWA Trip Editor โ€” Travel Details
PWA Trip Editor โ€” Travel Details

The Edit Trip page opens as soon as you create a trip (reopen it later from the โœ๏ธ next to the trip). Everything is on one page: add your flights, hotels, and transportation, with confirmation numbers, check-in dates, and shuttle details. The menu at the top jumps between sections, and Save keeps it all.

๐Ÿ’กTip
Add all family members before you start building wish lists so items can be assigned to the right person from the start.
3
PWA โ€บ Plan ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Web Planner

Browse the ride, dining, and show catalog and add everything you want to do as a wish.

PWA Plan โ€” Catalog Search
PWA Plan โ€” Catalog Search

The Park Catalog sits beside your wish list. Search it, or browse rides with their typical wait, height requirement, and Lightning Lane at a glance, then click + Plan to add one. Each wish gets a ride ticket (E = Must Do, D = Really Want, C = Want, B = Maybe, A = If Time) and an optional max wait time for rides. Don't worry about order yet โ€” you'll schedule on the Preview timeline.

๐Ÿ’กTip
Add more than you think you'll have time for. B and A tickets are your buffer โ€” things you'd love to do but won't be crushed to miss.
4
PWA โ€บ Plan ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Web Planner

Set a max wait time for each of your E- and D-ticket rides.

PWA Plan โ€” Max Wait Settings
PWA Plan โ€” Max Wait Settings

This is used on the mobile app's Home screen to show a 'Ready Now' list of rides currently under your threshold. It stops you wasting time waiting when there's a better moment later in the day.

5
PWA โ€บ Prepare ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Web Planner

Build your packing list โ€” pack things you've taken before from your catalog, or add new ones.

PWA Prepare โ€” Packing List
PWA Prepare โ€” Packing List

Pick a category on the left (and a sub-category like Shoes or Toiletries to narrow it), then click + Pack on anything in the catalog column โ€” or add a whole ensemble in one click. Use + Add New for anything specific to this trip (e.g. 'autograph book', 'kids' ear protectors'); it's saved to your catalog for next time.

6
PWA โ€บ Preview ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Web Planner

Lay out each day on the timeline. Start with fixed commitments (dining reservations, shows with set times), then fill in rides around them.

PWA Preview โ€” Day Planning
PWA Preview โ€” Day Planning

Select a date using the date picker bar. Drag items from the pool on the left onto the timeline. The park map on the right shows where each item is located so you can group nearby attractions.

๐Ÿ’กTip
Each ride on the timeline shows its typical wait at that time, and suggests a quieter hour when there's one worth moving for. Leave a 2-hour buffer in the middle of the day for meals and rest.
7
PWA โ€บ Preview ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Web Planner

Use the park map to check that your day's route makes geographic sense.

PWA Preview โ€” Park Map
PWA Preview โ€” Park Map

Each item on the timeline is plotted as a pin on the map. If you see a lot of back-and-forth between opposite ends of the park, rearrange items on the timeline to reduce walking.

8
PWA โ€บ Preview ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Web Planner

Fill gaps straight from the park catalog, or pin your own spots on the map.

PWA Preview โ€” Add to Day
PWA Preview โ€” Add to Day

Click an empty time slot (or + Add in the Anytime section) to open Add to Day. Switch to Park catalog to add any ride, show, restaurant, shop, or place without going back to Plan โ€” it's added to the trip's plan too. For somewhere that isn't in the catalog, like a parade viewing spot or a meeting point, choose Places โ€บ Pin a new place on the map, name it, and click the map. ParQwish works out the park and land for you.

9
PWA โ€บ Play ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Web Planner

Export your plan when you're ready to load it onto your phone.

PWA Play โ€” Pre-Trip Export
PWA Play โ€” Pre-Trip Export

You can re-export as many times as you like as your plan evolves โ€” each import on the phone uses Merge mode to apply only the changes.

๐Ÿ’กTip
Do a final export the night before your visit so your phone has the most up-to-date plan, even if you've been tweaking things in the days leading up.
You'll End Up With

A fully built trip plan โ€” wish list prioritised, packing list ready, day-by-day timeline built โ€” ready to load onto your phone the morning of your visit.
